We're seeking a passionate and Senior Xamarin/Maui Engineer with a discerning eye for design and user experience. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to rapidly iterate on app features, craft high-quality code, and continuously deliver impactful functionality to our users. If you're excited about making a real difference and taking ownership of initiatives from ideation to delivery, we want to hear from you.
In this role you'll work within a team of 7 developers, half of which focus on our embedded IOT devices, and half on our apps and data platform. You'll work closely with the current app maintainer and receive support from the team for backend API development, or for changes to the embedded software to provide better data.
As an example of what you will be working on: We recently revamped our system onboarding process to ensure installers receive more up-to-date and useful information for troubleshooting installation issues. This involved updating our embedded devices to provide different information and adapting our apps to present it in a clear and understandable way. If you had been involved in this project, you would have been responsible for defining what information would be most helpful to the installers, and how best to present it to them. You'd then be expected to spar with the embedded developers, brainstorming ways to provide this information while considering hardware limitations. They would then implement the embedded side of things, and you would implement the app side. Subsequently, you'd coordinate the required backend API changes to be done by aco-worker, or yourself, depending on your expertise, interest, and the timing of the project.
To be successful in this position you will need experience in MAUI/Xamarin and a strong design background. Therefore we expect you to have
· 4+years experience with Xamarin.Forms on iOS and Android
· Experience maintaining a WPF application (XAML and code)
· experience porting a production app from Xamarin to Maui
· portfolio of projects highlighting how you influenced the design
· experience with some other App development frameworks such as React native, SwiftUI,flutter etc.
