We are looking for a power electronics engineer who can design and develop the optimal conversion topology for our substring solar optimizer. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering (or similar), with a background in power electronics is required. The responsibilities require a high level of autonomy, with continuous interaction with both internal as well as external technology experts from other engineering domains. Practical working experience is a plus, as well as experience with Matlab / LtSpice / Simulink / Plecs / KiCad.

Responsibilities
• Design and optimize DC/DC converters
• Simulate conversion efficiency in various operational scenario’s
• Benchmark conversion topologies
• PCB design, prototyping, lab measurements and validation
• Determine component requirements and select suitable commercial components
• Translate insights to system level
• Collaboration with our knowledge institute partners (i.e. TNO, Solliance,
Energyville, RWTH Aachen)
